I’d like to see an equivalent map for the Clinton years and also for Obama’s reign when it ends 8 years from now.

  2. This is cool. Bush is given his last presidential address today. I cant wait to hear his conclusions.

I think it will be interesting to see how Bush’s presidency is looked at 4, 8, and 12 years from now. Equally, if not more important, how is Obama going to do better… I hope he does do a lot better.

Thanks guys, I agree. I thought this was a fun graphic too.

I didn’t think it was so much about Bush as it was about social and economic trends. There are positives in there. I never thought Bush was as demonic as everyone tried to paint him – even though he did make some colossal mistakes. History might have forgiven the war, but the economic crash may have forever fixed his infamy in history (not that the president actually does that much either way). I do hope Obama does better overall, but the realities of Washington politics (and American cultural rhetoric) make it hard. Also sometimes even wise decisions prove work out poorly in the end due to unknown factors. I tend towards optimism, but time will tell.

You politically tend towards optimism? Since when? 😉

Thanks! Its a lot easier to find time to write now that I’m not in school.
