Calling all African biblical studies bloggers

If you have (or know of) an active blog in Africa that posts biblical studies content, please leave a comment below. I would like to list you in my blogroll. More importantly, the infamous (or is it irreverent) Bishop N_T_Wrong would like to know; see his comprehensive list of biblioblogs (currently at 157). Note: I know there are tons of blogs by African Christians and missionaries, but Bishop Wrong is specifically looking for blogs which fit the following definition:

A ‘biblioblog’ contains substantial material involving a scholarly approach to the Bible or related literature, ancient Judaisms and Christianities. While a large proportion of bibliobloggers are academically trained or currently receiving academic training, what is essential is a scholarly approach to the subject.

While you are here, I’d also appreciate if you’d let me know of other good resource pages for African Christianity – these are the one’s currently listed on my resource links page.

MisLinks (perhaps the most comprehensive collections of links related to Africa and African Christianity.)

African Proverbs, stories, and sayings.

African Christianity – brief history of the church in various parts of Africa (Bethel Professor)

African Traditional Religion – a very resourceful site maintained by Chidi Denis Isizoh (Roman Catholic)

Dictionary of African Christian Biography

Theology in Africa – links to articles and other resources

Thanks for the links Ben. By the way, I would like to invite you to write a post on a series of post we’re doing at Christ, My Righteousness on “racial reconciliation and healing.” Of course, if you have time, your contribution will be appreciatied. The description is as follows:

We would like to launch a series of posts on racial reconciliation and harmony during the month of December. Preferably we would like the issue of “racial unity” be addressed and examined from a biblical/christian perspective, but other perspectives are also welcome. Please let me know if you wish to participate in this project. We’re looking for christian bloggers and other people interested in sharing their thoughts on racial healing. We would love to have the articles posted on this blog by December 25, which means you need to submit your post to me by December 21. We welcome long and short articles/posts. If you’re interested, please leave me a note or drop me an email at celucien_joseph@ or Blessings,

Celucien, I’ve been thinking about it ever since you posted this on your site. I’ll try to send something your way. It will probably probably be a practical message to my white brothers.

That would be fine Ben. I look forward to your contribution. Thanks, Lou
